Fzzaat! Don't call Navy's tool a comic book
"One day … while on watch navigating the ship … you spot a pirate ship … in the cornerstone of evil in the world." Bravo Zulu, the Naval Academy's latest recruitment tool, has 12 action-packed pages and impeccable timing (remember Capt. Richard Phillips and his Navy SEAL sniper saviors in the Indian Ocean?). The graphic novel — the Navy doesn't call it a comic book, please; graphic novels are intended for more mature audiences — aims to entice applicants, especially minorities, to come scour the high seas for pirates and serve the nation. The academy, which trains naval officers, faces fierce competition for highly qualified minority students. Bravo Zulu — the naval signal meaning "well done" — will be distributed by academy recruiters nationwide and promises "a future where you graduate first in your class and are assigned to the USS Ronald Reagan." Never fear, the academy is already planning the sequel...

Happy Friday! Official Washington today continues to digest President Obama's proposed budget and it seems almost no one is impressed by the $17 billion in savings. As Dan Balz writes today, "By themselves, the proposals are too small to impress his critics but probably too large for Congress to swallow."

VH1 Orders "Celebrity Rehab" Spinoff, Renews Five Series
‘Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew' gets series order, ‘Celebrity Rehab,' ‘Tool Academy,' ‘Brooke Knows Best,' ‘I Want To Work For Diddy' get renewals
VH1 renewed five series and gave first season orders to two others. The network says that it has ordered second seasons of I Want To Work For Diddy, Brooke Knows Best, Tool Academy and Gotti's Way 2, and a third season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
It has also ordered Celebrity Rehab spinoff Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew and New York Goes to Work, which was previously announced as in development...
